Seeing how I'm still mentally, physically, and emotionally drained from that epic Monday Night Football game last night, I've got nothing today.Fortunately, our good friend Gene e-mailed me an awesome video yesterday that I wanted to let everyone know about.
There's this great website out there, Have You Met Ted.com, and it covers all things "How I Met Your Mother" related (THE SEASON FOUR PREMIERE IS ONLY SIX DAYS AWAY!!). Apparently someone out there spliced together this video of all the show's inside jokes and catchphrases (you can go directly to the video here).
It was kind of wild to watch because even though I've been a fan from day one and have never missed an episode, the writers have made a lot of the reoccuring jokes natural enough to the point where you almost don't realize they are there. Of course there are the obvious ones - "Legendary", "Suit Up", and the Slap Bet (to name a few) but for some reason, a couple really jumped out and surprised me.
And when I started thinking about it, I guess that's the way it is in real life. We all have phrases and running jokes that we use or refer to alot (oh, they are legitimately the greatest) but they just kinda naturally get lost in the day-to-day - or in this case, episode-to-episode - and don't stand out like an obvious catch phrase (i.e. "Did I do that?", "How You Doin'?", etc.).

Just another reason why I love this show.
So, if you're new to the show and want to see what the hype's all about or if you just want to get your self stoked for a new season of awesomeness, be sure to check out this site and the video.

PS. The ONLY bright spot about the Eagles losing last night was that if I hypothetically gambled on the game (I don't of course, because that's illegal), I would have definitely hypothetically put some money down on Philly covering the ridiculous seven point spread (Eagles-Cowboys games are ALWAYS close) and I would have hypothetically almost doubled my money and would have been able to hypothetically go out for a night on the town with my best girl because the Cowboys couldn't handle their business in regards to the spread.
It will hypothetically be one of the best nights out in recent memory...
